As this quote succinctly puts it - it's not about what you say it's about what you do.
Why would I be capable of helping you? Because of what I have done.
Why am I a coach?
I am committed to my own journey - self development has always been a big part of my life. On this journey I have discovered a love of working with others on their journeys and a talent for enabling them to be their best.
My career
Throughout my career I have been a trainer or manager of people in environments of change. In industrial chemistry, IT and management consultancy I have worked with peers, staff and customers to help them achieve better results.
Throughout the ten years since I graduated from my first degree, I have devoted myself to continual learning with courses, training and qualifications around my central interest - helping people to change.
My personal journey
My personal journey was in reaction to episodes of serious depression in my teens and twenties. Starting my journey was my way of taking back a life that was out of my control. From this grew my fascination with how humans work and how we can all make more of ourselves.
On the way I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing people, who helped me to transform and make more of myself. The paths I have trodden on my journey are:
- losing significant weight (3 stone / 20Kg)
- changing my appearance and personal image
- giving up addictions
- changed career
- "complete" my past and understand myself so that I can make different choices
- reconnect with my body: becoming fitter, dancing, karate
- transformative, coming-of-age experience
My belief in coaching is demonstrated by the fact that I use coaching and support to make these changes continually in my life on an ongoing basis.
